Henna Aftercare:
1.
Henna paste should be left on the skin for as long as possible. My recommendation is at least 4 hours, or overnight, if possible. Henna needs to be absorbed into the layers of skin, and if you remove your henna too early, wash your body, or enter chlorine it can drastically affect your henna stain.
2.
Steaming is another way to help develop your henna stain. This can be done by boiling water and holding your henna in the steam for a few minutes. Repeat this process every hour. This will help keep your henna moist, prevent it from cracking, as well as helping to release dye by providing heat.
3.
Protect your henna. When the paste is completely dry, you are done steaming, and ready to retire for the night, you can protect your henna by applying a medical adhesive tape. Alternatively, some people also use a loose sock, glove, or even a tissue wrap. My preferred method of sealing henna is to apply several layers of hair spray or spray gel (done in light mist layers) - dry it with a blow dryer, repeat... and go to sleep.
4.
When you are ready to remove your henna paste you can flake it off (use a butter knife, or whatever you find easiest to remove the paste). You will see your lovely henna stain starting to develop under the paste! During the next 24 hours you will want to avoid water if possible, or protect your henna by adding an oil-based water repellant (Vaseline, chap stick, cooking oil, sun tan oil, etc.) Keep your skin hydrated and moisturized over the next 2 weeks and this will protect the life of your henna.
5.
Your henna will darken over the next 24-48 hours and gradually fade over the next 2 weeks. If you want to remove your henna you will need to wait for the top layers of skin to exfoliate. You can speed up this process with an exfoliant (i.e. pumice stone, salt scrub, loofah, etc.).

Airbrush Aftercare:
A
irbrush tattoos can be maintained by applying baby powder after your shower. The most important thing is to not pick, scrub, rub or apply sun tan lotion to your airbrush tattoo. When you are ready to remove your tattoo you may use rubbing alcohol.

Glitter Aftercare:
T
here really is no maintenance required for Glitter tattoos. However, it is important to keep in mind that any friction applied to the glitter will cause it to rub off. Try not to scrub the glitter tattoo while you are in hot water/the shower. When drying, blot lightly over your tattoo or allow it to air dry. On the other hand, if you would like to remove your tattoo, simply soak a cotton ball with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and rub the design or scrub it while running it under hot water.
